How small changes make a big difference

  • How to nudge others to make better decisions
  • Why small changes can lead to powerful results
  • Increase your influence

We make countless decisions every day but we don't always make the right choices. Rather than weigh up each option using all the information available, we generally simplify the decision-making process through rules of thumb. This can be counterproductive. What does this mean for our influence over those we need to persuade?

Dr David Halpern leads the Behavioural Insights Team, the world’s first government institution to apply behavioural science to the design of government policy and now a social purpose company. Their work has proved that small and subtle changes can produce big results, whether the issue is tax, employment, energy conservation or economic growth.

At this event, David will take us inside the work of the Behavioural Insights team to reveal how powerful small changes can be. Discover how you can use behavioural and evaluative approaches to understand and maximise the social impact of your business.
