Formula One is a serious business with performance, innovation and teamwork at its heart. An F1 legend, Ross Brawn is widely regarded as one of the most successful team principals and owners in the sport’s history.
At this event, we’ll ask Ross about leadership in the fast-paced and complex world of motor racing. Discover what it takes to bring together and lead extraordinary multi-national teams of engineers, designers and a myriad of experts to turn ideas into reality within the rigid deadlines of the Grands Prix calendar. Leaders need to think quickly, make difficult calls under pressure and be prepared for all outcomes.
In F1 the celebrations are always short-lived. The focus shifts to the next race, the next car, or the next season. How can you develop a culture of leadership and constant innovation that allows your teams to pursue sustainable success?
Ross Brawn’s engineering and management career in motor racing brought a total of 22 World FIA Championships and a win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The peak of Ross’s career came with the rescue of the Honda F1 Team, which was renamed BrawnGP and went on to win the 2009 F1 World Drivers and Constructors' Championships in the team’s first year. Ross sold the team to Mercedes-Benz in 2010 and over three years laid the foundations that enabled the team to win the 2014 and 2015 World Titles. Ross has now retired from F1 and is focused on a number of personal projects.
