Booking onto an event or purchasing membership from London Business Forum involves creating a legally binding contract, the “Agreement”, between you, all of your Guests and us. By making this booking on behalf of one or more of your Guests you confirm that you are authorised to agree to these terms and conditions on behalf of each Guest.
The parties to this Agreement are: (1) the person who makes the booking or membership purchase and enters into the Agreement, and all Guests made under the same booking, referred to as “you” or “your”, and (2) our company, London Business Forum Limited, whose registered address is 38 Bartholomew Close, London, EC1A 7HP and registered number is 04188195. London Business Forum is referred to in this “Agreement” as the “Company”, “we”, and “us”.
We provide our events and services to you subject to this Agreement, so as always with a binding contract, you should read it carefully before making a booking. We may make changes to our Terms and Conditions, but the latest version will always appear on this page. If you continue to use our website or services after changes have been made, you will be considered to have accepted the changes to the Agreement between us.
In this Agreement, the following capitalised words have these specific meanings.
‘Event’ means any event, in-person or virtual, offered on this website.
‘Guest’ means a person (including, but not limited to, friends, relatives, employees, employers or any other person with whom you have a business relationship) attending an Event under a booking made by you.
When you book with us through our website, payment is made at the time of booking and delegate places are not confirmed until payment has been received. A VAT invoice will be sent to you on receipt of payment.
When you make a payment online, your card information is not held by us. We use Worldpay’s secure payment gateway who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.
An email will be sent to confirm your booking. This confirmation email will be sent to the email address you gave when you registered on this website, as well as to the email addresses of any named Guests. When logged in, you can view and print your ticket at any time as soon as your transaction is complete and your booking confirmed. A reminder email will be sent to you and/or your named Guests three weeks before the event and another 24 hours before. The final email will have a link directly to your ticket but we advise you check your ticket, especially the date, location and timings before you receive this final email. Please bring your ticket with you to the Event. It’s fine to show us your ticket on any internet-enabled device, such as an iPhone or tablet.
In the case of a virtual Event, please also make a note of the Zoom URL in your ticket. We will also provide the Zoom URL in the booking confirmation email and the email reminders we send to Guests. We strongly recommend you have a free Zoom account and have tested your connection and microphone before you join us on the day.
Cancellations or changes to bookings
If you and/or your Guests are no longer able to attend the Event, you will not be offered a refund. However, if you notify us more than two weeks before the event, we can transfer your booking(s) to another Event. Less than two weeks before an in-person Event, you can pass your ticket to a colleague to attend in your place and don’t need to notify us of this change. Please simply print your ticket and ask the person attending to complete the form at the bottom and hand the filled-in ticket to us at the door. If you are unable to attend a Virtual Event, we will make a recording available to you after the Event has taken place but if you would still like to change the name of the Guest, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
London Business Forum reserves the right to change the speakers, date or venue. If we need to cancel an Event for any reason, we may do so at any time before the Event is scheduled to begin. Cancellation is very unlikely and may only happen in exceptional circumstances, we will make a full refund or offer you an alternative choice of date or Event but we disclaim any further liability.
We will try to notify you of cancellations, or changes to speakers, date, timings or venue, but we cannot guarantee this. Keeping your details up-to-date by logging into the website will give us a better chance of contacting you in time. If there is time, any substitutions or alterations will be updated on the relevant web page(s) as soon as possible.
If you are purchasing membership, it is valid for one year from the date your membership is purchased. Please note that credits must be applied to events that are held before the date on which your membership expires. You can book Event places using your credits online in your Account area or through us by phone or email. The credit(s) used for your booking will be automatically deducted from your account.
Confirmation and reminder emails will be sent as detailed above under ‘Bookings’ from email@example.com. We recommend you and your Guests add this email address to your safe sender list.
Cancellations or changes to membership bookings
London Business Forum requests at least two weeks’ notice from members to cancel Event places. If this notice is given, the credit(s) used for this booking will be added back onto your account. If notice is given after this, the place(s) cannot be cancelled and credits will not be refunded. However, the ticket for an in-person Event can be used by a replacement delegate and you do not need to notify the London Business Forum of the name change. At the bottom of the original ticket is a form that can be completed by the replacement delegate once printed out. Please ask the person attending to hand the filled-in ticket to us at the door. If a Guest is unable to attend a Virtual Event, we will make a recording available to them after the Event has taken place but if you would still like to change the name of the Guest, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

For in-person Events, the start of the Event allows half an hour for registration and the presentation will start promptly at the time also listed on your ticket.
If you are joining us at a Virtual Event, please arrive at least five minutes before the scheduled start time.
We often film, photograph or otherwise record our Events. Please note that your consent to being filmed or recorded as an attendee is a condition of this Agreement. By booking a place, you confirm the consent of you and all your Guests to being filmed or recorded. The recordings may be publicly available on this website or by other means.
Our use of your personal data is subject to your instructions, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), other relevant UK and EU legislation and our professional duty of confidentiality.
Under data protection law, we can only use your personal data if we have a proper reason for doing so. Generally, we process your personal data:
- to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations;
- for the performance of our contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract;
- for our legitimate interests or those of a third party.
