Tribal Business School: Lessons in resilience and business success
- Inspire resilience throughout your organisation
- Discover authentic leadership
- Instil trust and respect into your company culture
Learn about resilience from the people who have survived for thousands of years in the world's most hostile environments.
Strip away the corporate life support systems of HR, IT, Legal, Help Desks and manuals to discover the real rules of leading for survival and success. From his extensive research with tribes around the world, Jo Owen will demonstrate how to lead your business tribe through change and inspire resilience throughout your organisation.
Jo will reveal how business can profit from rediscovering the essence of leadership and the basics of what makes some organisations survive and others fail. Structured around seven simple lessons, with one tribe representing one lesson, this event will open up new perspectives and new ways of thinking.
About Jo Owen
Jo Owen practices what he preaches as a leader. He has worked with over 80 of the best, and a couple of the worst, organisations in the world in a career that has crossed all the major continents and most industry sectors. He is a serial entrepreneur and founder of several successful start ups, including Teach First, which is now one of the top ten graduate recruiters in the UK.
His leadership research is drawn from interviews and surveys with over 2000 managers at all levels, as well as research with traditional societies, such as Mongol nomads, Saami reindeer herders, Papua New Guinean tribes and even with French bureaucrats.
Jo is able to mix theory with a strong dose of reality and a wide range of management stories that make his advice both credible and digestible.
All guests will receive a complimentary copy of Tribal Business School by Jo Owen, published by Pearson (RRP £16.99).
