How we’ve used LBF events:
LBF events have been co-ordinated centrally and hosted by a member of the executive. The exec takes 5-6 members from our leadership population to the event and follows this with a de-brief over coffee/lunch. At the de-brief, the group talk about their learnings from the event and how this is relevant/or not to Lombard and how we can transfer the learning back into our organisation. We then type up our findings on to a template which is stored on our intranet and shared with the leadership population. In addition, we have given our leaders the username and password to access the LBF website so they can re-visit the events.
Our experience:
It has been a positive experience. The sessions are bite size, informative and provide employees and the business the opportunity to see the world outside of Planet RBS. We’ve found the events very worthwhile and also inspiring, for any of the leadership team that have not been to one of these events then I would suggest they have missed out, and I would encourage them to book on the 2012 ones.
